Black Friday 2026 for US Dropshippers: 6 Products With Real Costs and Ship-By Dates

Black Friday in the US is three weeks away, and this year the rules for overseas stock have changed. Since duty-free de minimis entry ended, a cheap gadget shipped from China can arrive late and with an extra cost the buyer never saw coming. This guide covers six products we have researched for US stores, with real supplier costs, delivery estimates and the last safe order date for Christmas.

Quick answer

Black Friday is Friday 27 November 2026 and Cyber Monday is 30 November. For US dropshipping in Q4 2026, choose giftable products under $50 that are easy to show in a short video, and check where each one ships from. Products in a US warehouse can be sold until about 14 December. Most China-shipped items should stop taking Christmas orders around 10โ€“12 December.

What changed for US sellers this year

Until August 2025, parcels worth under US$800 entered the US without duty. That exemption was suspended for all countries on 29 August 2025. Small parcels from overseas now go through formal duty collection, either by the carrier or by the supplier’s shipping line. For dropshippers this means three things:

  • Your real cost is higher than the AliExpress or CJ product price, unless the shipping line already includes duties. Ask the supplier which one you are using.
  • Delivery is less predictable in peak weeks, because customs checks add time.
  • US warehouse stock is worth paying a little more for. A product that costs $1 more but ships from New Jersey or California in 3โ€“8 days usually wins in December.

Key dates for US Q4 2026

Date What happens What you should do
Now โ€“ 20 November Testing window Order samples, film videos, test two or three ad angles on small budgets
Thu 26 November Thanksgiving Ads are expensive; keep budgets on what already converts
Fri 27 November Black Friday Run your main offer: bundles and free gifts rather than deep discounts
Mon 30 November Cyber Monday Last big discount day; email anyone who added to cart
About 10โ€“12 December Last orders for China-shipped items Switch the message to “order now to arrive before Christmas” or pause
About 14 December Last orders for US-warehouse items Keep only US stock live for Christmas
17 December USPS Ground Advantage cut-off After this, only faster paid services arrive by 25 December

USPS recommends sending Ground Advantage parcels by 17 December, Priority Mail by 18 December and Priority Mail Express by 19 December for delivery by Christmas within the contiguous US. Supplier processing usually adds 1โ€“3 days before the parcel even reaches the carrier, which is why the dates above are earlier.

Six products we researched for US stores

All costs below are the product price we found at the supplier on 6 November 2026. They do not include delivery charges or ad costs. Click through to each page for full suppliers, profit numbers and marketplace rules.

Product Supplier cost Suggested price Ships from Delivery estimate Competition
Rechargeable hand warmer $3.69 $19.99 US warehouse 3โ€“8 days High
Electric heated lunch box $8.26 $34.99 China (US plug) 4โ€“9 days Medium
Cordless spin scrubber $17.16 $44.99 China 4โ€“9 days Medium
Galaxy planet projector $14.23 $34.99 China 4โ€“9 days High
Motion sensor LED light bar $3.98 $16.99 China 5โ€“11 days Medium
Self-cleaning pet hair remover $1.47 $14.99 China 5โ€“11 days High

1. Rechargeable hand warmer: the safest Christmas product on the list

It is the only product here with stock in a US warehouse, so it can be sold later into December than the others. Hand warmers sell from the first cold mornings in October until February. They work as stocking fillers, and they suit an outdoor audience: hunters, anglers, dog walkers and fans at football games. Sell a two-pack next to the single unit to lift order value.

2. Electric heated lunch box: a gift for people who work on site

The heated lunch box suits construction workers, nurses, drivers and office workers without a microwave. The version we found has a 110V American plug, which matters: a European plug is the most common reason for returns in this category. It is a good “for Dad” or “for the person who works nights” gift angle.

3. Cordless spin scrubber: holiday cleaning before guests arrive

Cleaning products rarely look like gifts, but Thanksgiving and Christmas mean guests, and the scrubber’s before-and-after video sells itself. The higher price gives you room for ad costs. Show tile grout and a bathtub in the first three seconds.

4. Galaxy planet projector: the bedroom gift for teenagers

Projectors are a classic December product with lots of competition. To stand out, show a real teenager’s room and sell a bundle with a remote or a second lens. Because so many stores sell it, do not rely on a discount alone.

5. Motion sensor LED light bar: a cheap add-on that sells in pairs

Short winter days make closet and stair lights useful, and the low cost means you can sell a three-pack. It is better as an upsell or bundle than as a main ad product.

6. Self-cleaning pet hair remover: for the pet-owner gift crowd

Around two-thirds of US households own a pet, and pet owners buy gifts for each other. The product price is very low, so the margin is good even after ads. The catch is competition: thousands of stores sell it, so you need a better video or a bundle with a lint roller.

How to discount without breaking pricing rules

The FTC’s Guides Against Deceptive Pricing say a “was” price must be a real price you offered the item at, openly and in good faith, for a reasonable period. A new store that shows “$59.99, now $19.99” on a product it has never sold at $59.99 is asking for complaints and chargebacks. Some states, including California, have their own rules on former prices.

Safer Black Friday offers:

  • Bundles: buy two, get a third at half price.
  • A free gift that costs you $1โ€“$2.
  • Free shipping over a set order value.
  • A discount code with a clear end date.

Ad angles that work in Q4

  • Gift framing: “the gift for the person who is always cold”, or “for the dog lover who has everything”.
  • Delivery promise: “ships from the US, arrives before Christmas”, but only if it is true for that product.
  • Bundles: show the bundle in the first frame, not only on the product page.
  • Real settings: a tailgate, a snowy porch or a messy bathroom convert better than studio shots.

Platform rules to check before Black Friday

  • Amazon: new sellers face holiday restrictions in Toys and Games from November to early January. Products with lithium batteries, like the hand warmer, need extra documents for FBA.
  • TikTok Shop: buyers and the platform expect fast handling and tracked delivery. China-shipped products struggle to meet these times in peak season.
  • Shopify Payments, Stripe and PayPal: a sudden jump in sales on a new store can trigger payout holds. Late deliveries also cause chargebacks, which make these holds more likely.
  • eBay: you must meet the handling time you set; overseas stock makes that hard in December.

Our guide to selling rules on Shopify, Amazon, eBay and TikTok Shop covers each platform in more detail.

Mistakes that cost US stores their Q4 profit

  1. Forgetting duties. If your shipping line does not include duties, the carrier may ask the buyer to pay before delivery. Many buyers refuse the parcel.
  2. Selling China-shipped items after mid-December. Every late gift becomes a refund request.
  3. No US return address. Buyers who have to post a $20 item to Asia will open a dispute instead.
  4. Scaling before testing. Test with small budgets first. Our guide to validating a product before ads shows the steps.
  5. Ignoring margin after ads. Work out your break-even ad cost per sale first; see how to calculate dropshipping profit margin.

Frequently asked questions

Is it too late to start dropshipping for Black Friday 2026?

Not if you pick a product with stock ready to ship. You need time to order a sample, film a video and test ads, so aim to have that done by about 20 November. If you start later, focus on Cyber Monday and early December gift buyers.

Do I have to pay duties on China-shipped dropshipping orders now?

Since de minimis was suspended on 29 August 2025, low-value parcels entering the US can carry duties. Some shipping lines (often called DDP) include them in the shipping fee. Ask your supplier which line you are using, so neither you nor your buyer gets a surprise bill.

When should I stop selling for Christmas delivery?

For US-warehouse stock, about 14 December is a sensible cut-off. For products that ship from China in 4โ€“11 days, stop promising Christmas delivery around 10โ€“12 December. USPS’s own cut-off for Ground Advantage is 17 December.

Can I show a “was” price on Black Friday?

Only if you really sold the product at that price for a reasonable time before the sale. Otherwise use a bundle, a free gift or a code with an end date.

Which product on this list is best for beginners?

The rechargeable hand warmer: low cost, US stock, easy to show on video and a clear gift angle. For more Q4 ideas across other countries, see our guide to Black Friday and Christmas products for 2026.
